Apple Cider Pressing Party

It’s apple season in the Quad Cities, and that’s something to celebrate!

We’re going to do just that with an apple cider pressing party on Friday, October 7 from 6-10 p.m. at Miss Effie’s Country Flowers & Garden Stuff, 27387 130th Ave, Donahue. We’ll be making cider with local, pesticide-free apples – anyone can try their hand at making some cider, and we’ll all get some cider to drink. We’ll also have a bonfire going, and you’re welcome (but not required) to bring some food to put on the grill or a side dish to share. If we have leftover cider at the end of the night, anyone who brings a mason jar can take some home to enjoy.

I hope you’ll join us – and if you can come, we do need an RSVP so we can plan. You can RSVP at our Facebook event page or by emailing us at slowfoodqc@gmail.com. See you there!
